Our story
Champagne Lefevre-Médard was born in 1974 from the union of Janine Médard (Champagne Médard-Werner founded in 1952) and Marc Lefevre (Champagne Lefèvre Lécrivain founded in 1948)
Both coming from a family of winegrowers and keen to build their own story, the two lovebirds naturally felt the desire to unite their names to found their own brand.
As the years went by, in 2002, it was their son Kléber's turn to take over the reins of the estate, along with his wife Sandie. They purchased a few additional plots of vines and now farm 8.40 hectares spread across the communes of Vertus, Bergères-les-Vertus, and Voipreux, all located in the highly regarded Côte des Blancs, the kingdom of the Chardonnay grape variety south of Epernay and classified as a Premier Cru in the Champagne appellation!

Our vineyard
The grape varieties in our vineyard are divided between 80% Chardonnay and 20% Pinot Noir. The limestone soil and the exposure of its hillsides are ideal for the only white grape variety in the composition of Champagne :
Chardonnay brings finesse and lightness. Pinot Noir, which should not be overlooked, brings roundness and softness to our wines. Concerned about the environment, we work in sustainable agriculture: we favor the grassing of our plots as well as mechanical work of our soils and are scrupulous about the choice, quantity and frequency of our treatments.
